HSR is one solution that's been basked in the hot midday
sun for many years now and surely the future does not explain how one gets from
ones initial departure point to the rail station and further the HSR's exit
point to ones final destination, or what form of transportation that will
take. I am 100% certian that you will agree with me that walking is not a viable solution for all or a bicycles or even using a Segway private transporter. How many more kilometres does each passenger need to travel to get to their final destination and at what times do they need to arrive is the ultimate pertinent question. Would it in fact be more astute to take a more scientific approach and make use of self guided transportation that could traverse the complete distance from initial departure to final destination in one conveyance rather than three or more and have a magnitude of bottle necks at each centers interchange, from urban road transport to HSR and back, using the final destination's conveyance and repeating the sequence on the same day to transport passenger to and fro on a daily basis. Small to medium sized Good and mail etc. would also specifically need the use of these interchange methods and machinery to accomplish what could in all probability be accomplished without any loading and unloading to be transported from persay a manufacture or initial departure point to their final destinations as required instead of using a second or third destination conveyance and holding areas where transportation will arrive to uplift the goods stored after the initial leg to the HSR station and also between the final leg of the journey after the HSR arrives at it's intermediary halt. Having seen the prolific mania that a cities expanse such as Auckland, New Zealand has at the equivalent regional area of a city such as "Seattle" or greater and with water ways also hindering the flow of transportation to arrive at the final destination makes for a multi type of conveyance and intermediary holding areas to accomplish what in all probability can be accomplished with the aforementioned self guided transportation conveyance that is specifically built to make use of each and every form of traversed; urban roading, intercity high speed expressways and eventually including waterway traversing capabilities is made possible.
